i have been dumped into the spare room to sleep this past week. b says that i snore so mega loudly that it wakes baby c up and it gets difficult to put him back to sleep again. also, apparently, i disturb b from getting a good sleep too. i admit i snore and i snore even louder when i'm absolutely knackered. the first night, lying on the sofa bed before nodding off, i was not very happy to say the least. i was missing baby. can you believe it?! it's so crazy, he's only a walk across the hall from me! but after i dozed off into dreamland, it was pure bliss.........aahhhhhhhhhhhhhh..........so mega wonderful. before this, when all of us were sleeping in the bedroom, i would wake at the slightest sound baby c made and i in turn would wake b up to attend to him. he would attend to baby and baby would wake up. (for those not in the know, b takes the night shift. i tried but i couldn't handle it. it was just all so unnatural to me, to have to wake in the night and stay awake til baby nods off again). needless to say, all three of us were not getting enough sleep. BUT, this past week has been wonderful - for all of us. baby hardly wakes up anymore, not even for his feed. b still has to attend to him at least once in the night but that's it (compared to attending to him through the night, this is easy-peasy). so....we've agreed to give it a week until baby settles into a routine sleep, and i'll move back in (albeit with one of those nasal strips that stops you from snoring.....)
a note though, baby does realise that i'm not in the room and he'll cry so hard and so loud searching for me. once i carry him from b, he shuts up immediately. so i'll carry him to sleep nowadays and talk to him and then only pass him over to b. ahh.........sleep,sleep,sleep...............sooooo wonderful.......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
