just a note on the test we took:
the nuchal translucency scan measures a collection of fluid under the skin at the back of the baby's neck. babies with down's syndrome have a very thick measurement. these scans are usually performed between 11 and 13 weeks. this is a non-invasive test as it is performed via an ultrasound. hence this test is a good indication if a baby has down's or not.
